Icebreaker: Are you a morning person or a night person? What do you enjoy doing depending on which you are?

Are you saved? Are you a follower of Christ? How does each of these questions make you feel?

If Jesus came up to you right now and asked you to follow him (and you said yes) what would your life be like? What is it like now? How do you feel the two look the similar/different?

Read Luke 6:20-26. How does it make you feel to hear that in the kingdom of God the poor are blessed and the rich are pitied? How does this sort of kingdom change what you chase after from day to day? What are some things that you are chasing that don’t fit this kind of kingdom model?

How do you think living in a kingdom way would break the barriers between people from different cultures/ financial brackets/ political persuasions? Read Luke 6:27-36. How do you think living in the kingdom way would break barriers between us and our enemies?

Why do you think Christ washed his disciples feet? Why do you think Jesus didn’t want people to make him a king? How does it feel to wash people’s feet? What are some ways we can wash people’s feet in our day to day lives?
